OK nitro4me, this is one hotly debated topic.
Many people get different results all dependant on the leadfootedness of their right leg. I get about 18 mpg around town and on the two long runs I've done I got 26 mpg.
I know it's not the best fuel economy, especially as the oil companies at the moment are screwing us, but it's a small price to pay for being so cool when we hit the streets...:D

Gas Mileage

I'd like to know what MPG other owners are getting with their Nitros. I do about 50% highway and 50% city. Would like to hear what you get from a gallon...
I have a Nitro R/T 4X4. City driving is averaging 17.8 - 18.2 MPG. Highway driving with cruise control set at 65 MPH and air conditioning on is averaging 21.7 - 22.1 MPG.

17 - 19 mpg around town.

Just took a road trip to Banks Lake & back over the weekend. We had the Nitro loaded to the ceiling with ski gear, and two big coolers on a receiver rack........ averaged almost 25 mpg going there & over 23 mpg coming home.
Thanks to the Flowmaster 70.

I have been getting around 17-18 around town and about 24 on the highway. Mileage seems to get a little better as the Nitro gets broken in (only have about 1500 miles on her). Just one question, I am considering the exhaust system for the nitro and am not sure what muffler the forum thinks I should get, the flowmaster or the magnaflow?
