MyGig Backup Camera

Does anyone have any information on a backup camera set up that will work with MyGig?

The Jeep commercials show the backup camera working with a system like MyGig, but I can't find any information about this. The only backup setup they have on Jeep's site is for the add-on that comes with small screen and all.

Dodge shows this in the handouts as an add-on but I can't find it on their site and my dealer isn't much help as of yet.

Since I have MyGig I would like to just add the camera and get the output to MyGig, as it should be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've done them before with other cars that have these radios and I think I saw a memo from one of my suppliers that stated it had them for DCX vehicles. I'll have to dig around or give them a call. I was thinking something like PAC had something but can't remember.

We do not have a solution for b/u camera yet for mygig. Currently we offer the freegig and bluegig. More to come in the upcoming months. Pac does not offer anything for the Mygig. My company NAV-TV was the first and only company to offer anything for the radio so far. Please stay tuned for more exciting products for NAV-TV

Yeah you're probably right. I haven't had the chance to play with one of these radios yet. I was thinking that the VCI-X from PAC would work but maybe not since everything is internal on these radios.

Besides being internal.. It also works via the can wires. Our products were developed with an 07 Sahara we purchased. I'm sure it will be available in the months to come......Susanne

I was wondering if you got anywhere with the camera yet, my mygig is from an 08 wrangler unlimited and would love to get the camera, would also love to activate the bluetooth for the phone. neigher works right now. any ideas would be appreciated.

Yes back up cam option was released mid week. It is called gig cam

it will work if.

When you put the vehicle in reverse you see a black screen on the mygig..

or

When using the bluegig or allgig module I have available

Gig cam is $250 alone or can be built into the bluegig and allgig packages also.

You can use the bluetooth kit for the 08 sebring. Mopar will not offer the bluetooth kit due to noise in the vehicle and customer satisfaction will suffer. I have installed several in the 07 wranglers and work just fine with a hard top. Still waiting for backup camera along with everyone else.

I'm confused.
As far as i know, no one's mygig goes black when you select reverse.
I already have bluetooth.
I don't want to watch movies while driving.
I just want the backup camera.

hi

If you have the most recent software on your mygig 9.561 you will have the black screen. You can go gigcam alone (with black screen) for $280. The kit comes complete with the back up camera and required harness.

I do have the update, but my screen does not go black when I go into reverse. Hmmm. Anybody else tried this?

no black screen

ok then you need the bluegig or allgig for the camera option to work for you. After they are installed it will program for the camera input to work...

this is how it is supposed to work. if you move out of park, the video is disabled.

Thats right I forgot you already have the freegig. Give me some time to talk to the engineer to see why you don't get the black screen
