First of all, I love my brand-new 2007 Sunburst Orange Nitro R/T
and the MyGig system is very cool in many ways. But I have a couple of complaints:
1) Has anyone else noticed this? I have burned zillions of custom mix music CDs, which have the tracks "crossfaded" into one another. When I burn them (using Sony's CD Architect) I place track markers at the beginning of each tune, so although there is no space between songs, you can still skip tracks, etc. These play just fine on dozens of other CD players (auto, home, boombox, computer, etc). But on my Nitro's MyGig, there is a brief (half a second or so) silence whenever the CD reaches a track marker. So it ruins my nice, smooth crossfade every time!
What the heck is going on here? Is this a "feature"? A bug? I can't find any kind of way to access any advanced settings that would make it "force" a gap between selections. And I've never had this problem on any other player.
If this is something inherent in the electronics or software, and not changeable, could it be that my only solution would be to install a SECOND CD player and wire it into the MyGig Aux input? Eeecccghhh!
Anyone have any ideas?
2) Why the heck is the MyGig web site not available? The manual lists www.Chrsyler.com/MyGig all over the place, but all that does is redirect you to a Chrysler Sebring web page. Has anyone heard any of any plans to get the correct page up, or found any other URL for MyGig info/support? And how soon do you think it will be before there are "Hack My MyGig" web sites showing up?
Thanx!
