Dear ladies and gentlemen
my name is Stefan, I`m from germany.
I have a question about the mygig.
A colleague of mine bought a Chrysler Aspen with a mygig navigation.
Navigation Type: RER with the software version 9.561 built: 26.10.2007

He wants to use the navigation system in germany. Can you help us how to do this?
Do we have to update the mygig with a european software?

Hey Stefan welcome to the forum.
Where did your friend buy the Aspen from? Is it a European or North American model? If it is a North American model it will need to have the European maps installed. If it is European, the maps should be in there already.

Hello canadianlimey,

he bougth this aspen from North America, I think. He told me it`s not the model you could by in Europe.
The chrysler-service in germany told us, that it is not possible to get the software changed. I don`t believe them, thats why I`m posting here
Could you tell me how I can get the update to a european version?

Europe Mygig

The European Mygig uses sale code REW , the dealr cant change a RER mygig to REW you most do a conversion to REW , i sent mine to Carperformance.se and they converted mine from RER to REW so now its completly European

Theres a firm in europe which can change the RER to a REW.

The firms name is Customtronix: http://www.customtronix.com/our-services-mainmenu-9/navigation.html

They're not that cheap but fast and reliable. They also sell a upgrade to a 80Gb HDD instead of the 30GB!

On my site you could find all the updates for the OS. They are for RER and REW Model. The OS version of your friend is really old! The actual Version is 2.043 which is almost 3 years newer than that 9.561.

a can se that when www.Carperformance.se do a conversion from Rer to Rew they install the latest software now its 2.107 and latesta Gracenotes 2059 and a whebt to my dealer to check how new the navigation map is and they say its the latest map and just the map cost 200 euro in europé so 349 euro for the conversion is cheap!

the update cost nothing

first upgrade to 9.713 and then update to 2.107.
google to MyGig update RER 2.107...
