Greetings All,

I am considering buying a Nitro, in fact I would probably already have one if the dealership had the exact package/options I was looking for.

Right now I have an RX-8 and a Kia Sephia. When I bought the RX-8 I kept the Kia for commuting and (better MPG) and cause I have a dog that I didn't want to trnasport in my new car either.

I think a Nirto fits my lifestyle more as I like to take my dog places, kayak, and mt. bike. I don't like driving my Kia any more cause it's getting run down and I don't feel safe. Problem is I just love my RX-8 and it's going to be real hard to get rid of. It would be nice to have only 1 vehicle though.

Things I like about the Nitro are that I can get a lot of luxeries that I don't currently have (leather, sunroof, remote start, Sirius, ...) for a decent price. Things I don't like so much, mainly the MPG. I drive about 30 mins to get to work (not sure the exact distance).

Recently someone broke into my home and stole my RX-8 (along with a bunch of stuff) and he still has the Keys... another nice thing about a Nitro, is the thief wouldn't have the keys, and when I'm at work, there would be no vehilce in the garage for a thief to use to take stuff with.

Anyone can help convince me to get rid of my RX-8/Kia and get a Nitro :) ?

I went from a Camaro to the Nitro - and if you have dogs, the Nitro is a GREAT dog vehicle. We took a road trip recently with our two rottweilers and it handled them, us and our luggage quite nicely! LET GO - get the Nitro - you'll be glad you did :D

Well may not end up a Nitro owner after all... :(

Just was at the dealer and was working on a first deal offer and they came back and wanted to offer me $10,000 for my excellent condition RX-8 with 38,000. Kelly Blue Book puts it over $20K retail. Hell if I was gonna sell my for for $10K. Apparently they use like NADA which looks like it sucks. Guess I'll have to try to sell my car on my own, which although it will take awhile, I'll probably end up better off.

Just disappointed in that, I was hoping to own one today

you should try another dealership, down here we went to a LARGE dealership in a larger city than where I live and I told him what I wanted and that it needed to be ordered, he kept wasting my time going and getting nitros from the lot and told me "so color is going to prevent you from owning this car today?" uh yeah butthead it is. I told him my price range and what another dealership offered no kidding he said "we 100 cars a month we don't need to compete w/ another dealership" I was like "bye!!" so we went to the smalltown dealership and got what we wanted for the $$ and ordered it in the middle of jan and got it feb 8. I went from a "99 mustang to the nitro....good luck!!

Thanks for the advice and the smile. I think you have a good point. I also got my Mazda at a smaller town dealership and it went very well. I think I'll try that again and hopefully things will go better. I too would like to order a Nitro, cause I'm pretty specific about what I want.

Glad you got what you wanted, hope your enjoying the hell out of it

if you want I can come over there an throw a tantrum:4-jump2:....lol! I cross my arms, stomp my feet and stick out my bottom lip pretty good, if I need to I can hold my breath till I turn puple and faint, that gets 'em every time:D!! my hubby says I'm spoiled, I'm just misunderstood and picky....lol, if you believe that I got this huge cow ranch too. good luck, don't settle for less than what you want, you will never be happy with it.

Ha, just when I was about to take you up on the whole tantrum routine, although it would probably be hard for me to hold a straight face but I think I could handle it. Maybe you can drive your Nirto right into their offices.

Huge cow ranch huh? I'm interested.

You also have a good point though about the 08's. I may just have to go the slow route.

Suggestion:

I had an '06 MX5 that I needed to sell before I could get my new ride. So I put it on eBay and kept watching the prices and finally lowered it to a point that it sold. I lost $4,250.00 on it but, like you, that was less than the dealership wanted to stick me for. I sold it to a pilot at Love Field.
