Newbie here and not usually one to post but have a problem with my new 2008 Nitro. Just wondering if someone else out there was having a simular situation. Have only 3200 miles on it now but from the start seemed to be missing quiet bad. Took to dealer and was told computer lost programming drive for another 2000 miles and the resetting we did will take over. OK Then other things started happening. Won't go into them but finally after 3 trips to dealer was told Dodge has problem with some of the Nitros. Not missing after all but transmission trying to shift into overdrive at about 50 to 60 mpr. Will shift back and forth, back and forth. Mine will do it at other speeds but they are now telling me Dodge has NO FIX for this problem. Found 3 others here having same problem. ARE ANY OF YOU HAVING THIS AND WHAT ARE YOU BEING TOLD ABOUT IT?

Welcome to the forum. Many members find this forum when searching for issue resolutions or for modding information. I'm sorry yours was due to issues. Haven't seen this particular set of circumstances, but there is a known transmission shudder issue:

May not be what you are seeing and experiencing, but keep on top of the service department and make sure they fix it. This is definitely a warranty issue they can't put you off.

Let us know how things progress!

great welcome

Thanks to all for the great welcome.
Jason you ask when it was built, July 2007. I bought it in Oct. 2008.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the Nitro. Want to keep mine a long time but need to find out what is going on with it.
I am going to keep the service dept working on it. They have recorded everything done and I always get a copy for myself. Only thing bothering me is last time they told me Dodge was aware of this problem but had no fix for it. Just interested in what others have been told.
I do hope they get something on it soon. I don't think there are a lot of Nitro owners having this problem. I'm just a very lucky person.
Any info will be greatly apperciated.
