Howdy!

I just got a 2008 Dodge Nitro 2WD R/T for a graduation present!!! I am so excited to have my first new vehicle. I had a 02' Dodge Ram with 125,000 miles on it! :smiledown:

BUT MY NEW SUV IS AMAZING!!!

Any ideas on some mods? I really want a navigation device in it... but I don't want to spend $1,700 for the MyGig!

The racing stripes on some of the pics are really cool too!!!

Any other ideas or suggestions???

Glad you joined us and glad you love your Nitro! I use a Garmin NUVI 260W in mine, didn't want anything mounted permanently. There are all kinds of mods to do. What kinds of things did you have in mind?

How well does it work? I've kinda been looking at the MIO but yours looks neat.

I dunno, I know I eventually want to put a screen above the radio and air-vents... around that holder that I currently use for sunglasses. But that will be a ways down the road because I'm still new to the vehicle.

I also want to put some chrome accessories on the gas cap and door handles?

Have the chrome door handles...very cool! You need a spoiler, those really make your Nitro pop out! There are alot of little things you can do at first, painting the air vents to match the body, grilles, side bars, etc.... Just depends on what appeals to you! Look through the picture gallery, we all love to post of our mods!

Congratulations on the sweet graduation gift jp89hornet. I'm sure you'll enjoy the ride, especially since you don't have to worry about those pesky car payments, lol.

There's so many things you can do to mod your ride. Take a look around this forum and you'll get plenty of ideas. As you can see, the people here are very friendly and are always willing to help you out.

Congrats on the ride, I ordered the silver but they ran out and got the red instead.

crikey I got a $3,000 holden torana [think small chevy] as my graduation gift in 1986.

Although it was a 5 litre V8 [308] in a small car!

Welcome to the forum jp89hornet. Congratulations on your graduation and your gift. All I got after high school was a plane ticket and my orders to report to boot camp.
I hope you enjoy your Nitro. As far as mods go, I think your going to find it a little difficult to decide which way to go. The Nitro is such a diverse vehicle with many styles. You can bling it out or keep it simple and classy. Either way this truck looks sweet. I prefer a classy look with the bling in the right place.
