Well peeps .... I finally got my Nitro fixed!
My local 'Dodgey' dealer (I say dodgey because they are sneaky & lie & fluff & all the other negative stuff!) at first told me it was a faulty EMU/ECU thingy ..... but it was not, after my Nitro was in their shop for 3 days!
Then they said they didn't know what it was & they had to get 'expert' advice from Dodge .... is this dealer not supposed to employ experts relative to Dodge problems?
Then, after I suggested they change the stalk unit around the steering column (using one from another Nitro in their inventory), the problem was fixed ...... kinda sorta!
When I picked my Nitro up it was raining ..... HARD! ..... so I used the wipers, which worked great! Yipee! Then it started to storm & I went to turrn on my front driving lamps (I have an R/T!) ..... but when I pulled on the stalk nothing happened!
..... Because the bozos at my 'dodgey' dealer had put on a stalk from a base model!
Duh!!!
So, back to the dealer I went & demanded they take a unit from an R/T Nitro this time ..... which they did & is now working perfectamundo ;-)
Oh, and as a aside 'story' ..... when I took my Nitro in the first time I also booked a 25,000 service. When they messed me around waiting for 4 hours & did not even LOOK at my car I got my keys back & told them I had to go to work & would book it in again.
Well, I took my Nitro to another dealer for the service before I took it back to my local dealer for the electrical issue again. When I booked it in the second time I did not mention the service ...... but they did it anyway & wanted to charge me for it!
So, my Nitro got TWO 25,000 mile services in one week! LOL ;-)
Oh, and I did NOT pay for the second one! And the electrical work was warrantied.
Phew!
