Hey guys!!! Checkin out the web and I found this site so I decided to come on board. Just purchased my red sxt in NJ and I'm lovin' life already. However, the engine seems to rev really high at certain times while it's trying to shift gears. Is this normal or something I should call the dealer about?

Congratulations on your purchase and your wise color choice! The high-revving issue does not sound right. By all means, have your dealer take a look at your Nitro.

Welcome to the site and enjoy your new SXT.

I have been waiting for my Nitro since April, and I hope to have it in a couple of weeks now.

There are many threads on auto trans issues here. In some cases the dealer may need to flash (reprogram your engine computer) to get rid of some trans problems.
