Hey again everyone. I took some more video of the Nitro with my new Super 44's. This time I taped from inside the cab while accelerating and a quick drive-by shot. Any criticism or praise is welcome. Also, the resonators were removed with the install.

Thanks,
David

Hey David, I love it! I think it sounds a whole lot like my R/T with a Flowmaster 40. Now I want to go back and make a short clip of mine in motion for comparison. Were your windows down on that interior drive clip, or were they up? How did you position (make stationary) your camera in your Nitro for the drive?

Do you have any parking garages in your area? I have been wanting to make a clip in a parking garage for some time. Great echos!

I'm glad you guys like it. I wish I had more mods to film for you. When I filmed the video, I simply held the camera with my right hand. My windows were up so you could get the true sound inside the cab. There is a really nice big parking garage near my house at the Irvine Spectrum. I'll see what I can do to setup a camera and cause some trouble.

Sorry about the quality. I condensed the quality so it could load quicker.

Do you know the flowmaster product number for the super 44 muffler because my father is a muffler installer but we cant find the muffler that will fit my nitro in any of the flowmaster product books we have. I even talked to the guy who sells us the mufflers and he said flowmaster doesnt make anything for the nitro.

I'd like the number too. Any help would be great. I'm a little bit concerned that the interior noise may be a little to loud for my wife. I'd like it, but her tastes are different. What about a Flowmaster 50HD or 50 Delta - or other Flowmaster? Any comments?

Hey HighVoltage,
I was looking at installing a flowmaster 50 or 60 series. Just wondering what you may think. Thanks 4AL2NV

I don't know the part number off hand but I can tell you that the Nitro has stock mandrel bent pipes and the super 44 just slid right on. If you have any questions, I had my work done at Carr Tech in Mission Viejo, CA. (949) 951-6143. The owner is a good guy who took really good care of me.

I think your Flowmaster rep is a little wrong. Just look at all of the people in the forums who have already installed Flowmasters. I think you are looking for a kit. As of right now, there is no kit. Simply replace your existing muffler, remove the resonator, and custom fab the rest.

I hope the information helps.

Other members have installed the Flowmaster 50 series and liked it. Some have removed the resonator, others have not. All of them seem to be satisfied with the results. All say the Flowmaster slipped right on the stock pipes. All you need to do is match the inlet and exit pipe size. It's nothing special.

My wife does not like my Flowmaster. Says it's too loud. It is not loud at all IMO. All women are different on this issue. I have known some women that would be perfectly OK if the Nitro sounded like a NASCAR winner, my first wife being one of those. Others don't want to hear the vehicle running, present wife one of those. Discuss it thoroughly with the wife prior to doing anything!!

How does it sound? Proof is in the video!

Great video dk, thanks...The sound is not like some of the 6 cylinder's I've heard that sound like a can of bumble bee's going down the road. Definately :rep:.
