Newbie Checkin

I purchased a 07 Nitro in December of last year and I have throughly enjoyed it. I have noticed a problem about a week ago where on the drivers side where you get into the car , by the drivers seat the hard plastic or whatever has broke. This seems like part of the seat and it makes a noise all the time now. Has anyone else seen the problem where this has broken or is it an isolated incident.
