Hi all you Nitro forum readers,

I just picked up my first dodge, a nitro last weekend.
I went on to the car lot to test drive a 08 Liberty and out walked this guy who just got a 07 nitro they had on special.

I'd been noticing the nitro as a cooler looking Liberty and after seeing the 20k price difference between the liberty with the big sunroof and the 4 x 2 nitro i got, it was a no brainer and bought the 07 SXT 4x2 Khaki Nitro for $12,500.00 new out the door.

It has the 23B package with automatic and I've added a trailer reciever and brake to tow my many cj jeeps and my airstream already. I see from the website many nitro people put on 20's and lots of chrome.

Mine will be different cause its a tow rig for my rockcrawler jeeps.

I did a 2" 08 Liberty Lift kit from Daystar monday and added the take-off tire from my 06 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon yesterday. I added a mopar slush mats and full bra, k/n intake and I think its almost done. I think. Maybe I'll add more accessories next week, maybe a carbon fiber dash.

Well as a former Dublin, CA resident and now a NJ resident, let me be the first to welcome you to the forum Greg.

It's really a small world anymore. I lived in Dublin Ranch for four years from 2000 to 2004. I loved it! Beautiful area and lots to do.

Sounds like you got a fantastic price on your Nitro too. Enjoy it in that beautiful California sunshine. Wish I was there.

Welcome to the forum, Greg.

Please post some pictures ... I'd like to see what one of these looks like with a modest lift.

Waldorf, I don't know if you've been to California before, but it is in Northern California. It's about 30 miles east and south of San Francisco. The area used to be mostly huge ranches that were either for cattle or farming. Lots of rolling hills and the weather is gorgeous. Spring usually starts sometime in February, lol. It gets hot in the summer but there's no humidity. It's just a beautiful area with the ocean, San Fran, Monterey, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite and Napa Valley with them all being anwhere from less than an hour to about 4 hours drive. Disneyland's only 5 hours away by car too. It's a great place to live but damn expensive.

There is still one red 07 with a 6 spd at that price on the lot at stoneridge dodge in dublin if anyone is interested, its part of there shamrock day event this next weekend here in Dublin. It has fog lights which mine doesn'
t but the towing rating isn't as good as my automatic. I plan on using my nitro as a commuter and tow vehicle for my may rockcrawler jeeps which all get lousy mileage cause of there huge engines and high gearing + my last set of tires for my 83 cj-7 was over 1200 bucks for 37's. I think if I try i might be able to stuff 32's under my nitro. my 3.73 gearing should allow it but rubbing might be a issue. has anyone else run into tire rubbing issues running large tires on there nitro?
