I'm new. Had my Nitro about 3 weeks now. I am having a problem with the factory floor mats. Anyone else had a problem with them not fitting the hook in the floor board? I am wondering if the factory installed my hook on the wrong side of the car. On the drivers side if you are sitting in the seat it is on the right side. ????????

Welcome to the site, your hook is right where it's supposed to be the mat is probably stiff from being new try bending & working the mat a little . It is a bugger but when you get her down she stays put.

Floor mat pic

A pic where the mat hooks. Works fine. This is on the drivers side. I read your post again. Are you saying there is a hook on the passenger side??

The grommet on the driverside floormat for the hook on the floor was on the wrong side of the mat in my Nitro. The grommet was on the left side of the mat instead of the right. They warrantied my floormats. Nice part about the warranty mats was they had to order the premium set because they couldn't get the factory originals. Nicer mats front and back.

Floor Mats

I guess that's my problem. The hook is in the exact same place as the pic but the floor mats wouldn't fit! The floor mats that the dealorship ordered don't look a thing like the ones in the pic either. They were funky shaped with the woring NITRO on the bottom. I will go back to the dealorship and have them order me something else. Thanks for the help. I have been riding around for the past couple weeks w/paper mats in the floor.

I guess I should have cleaned it up a little before I took the pic. Living in the sandhills though has some advantages. No red mud to really get imbedded in the mats. I will try to do better in the future or Maybe the wife will clean it for me. She drives it more than me anyway!!
