Nitro cabin filter ???

    Strange you do not have a cabin filter. I thought it was only the 07-08 that did not.

    My 09 does not have the cabin filter either. I was really dissappointed to find that out, especially when I read that some of the 09's did come with the filters and some without. What kind of crazy logic is that? Did the people at the factory say "Lets flip a coin today and see if this batch of Nitro's get the filters installed or not"? Maybe they ran out of parts? Like I said, really frustrating.

    I cant understand all this about cabin filters my nitro was manufactured in September 2009 and is fitted with a cabin filter so why would nitros built in the same year as mine not have one ??????????????

    Hello everyone, i have a 2008 nitro and everytime i use my ac there is a weird smell. I have been told that old cabin filters can cause bad smells but my nitro doesnt have cabin filters. Any suggestions? Am i looking in the wrong spot? Thanks.

    If you drop your glove box and do not see the filter door(Like in post 3 &6) you do not have cabin filters.
    What you are smelling is mold inside the HVAC housing.
    There are several products you can use to mask the smell, and a few out there you can use to kill the mold. Sorry but that is the best I can do for you.
    Mine smells occasionally, and what I do is to turn the heat on high heat to kill the mold.
    Up to this point that has kept it under control.
