I am hoping with the world wide draw from this forum someone can help me. I recently purchased a Nitro at a Middle Eastern dealer. The car is labeled an SXT, but when I pull the VIN from Dodge's website it is labeled an SLT. It also has all the SLT features (Mygig, Premium Automatic transmission-according to the VIN decoder, 17 in wheels, power everything, self dimming mirror, the whole nine yards). I am wondering if like other manufacturers that sell overseas, does Dodge relabel their vehicles. At the dealer, this vehicle was only one step under the R/T model. Since I seem to be the only person to have purchased a Nitro in the Middle East that is a member of this forum, maybe someone from Europe has some insight.

I have requested a build sheet from Dodge so that may clear things up.

For anyone interested, I also found out from Harman/Becker that the MyGig systems here are unique compared to the US and Europe and am working on getting updates right now.

it's probably the same as with my RT. According to Chrysler it is an SLT with some trim pkgs.

It's correct. Dodge relabels the SLT to SXT in Europe and therefore middle East. Don't know why. In europe the SXT (US SLT) also get the same R/T Suspension because the europeans don't like soft suspension.
