I wonder what the legality of tinting headlights & taillights is in various states.

I hadn't really considered doing this till recently. We went camping & waterskiing last weekend & I used my 16' ATV trailer to haul everything out to the resort. So there were 4 of us in the Nitro, plus maybe a 1500 lb trailer loaded up. I must have gotten brighted 15 times in 150 miles by the time we got to our destination. The only thing I can think is we loaded the trailer a bit nose heavy, plus 2 adults sitting in the back seat (maybe 350 lbs) made the Nitro squat a bit in the rear..... and the headlights point upwards more than normal.
I guess another option would be some air shocks in the rear.

Yes Air

Load leveling sounds like a good idea, and on the tail lights I like the look but I wonder about any loss of brightness it says 83% but I would like to be seen at night as much as possible

Exactly -- it would really suck if you were rear ended and were found partially liable because you covered your tail-lights with an illegal product
