sounds like you need a different reciever to put your ball onto. What are you using currently? Is it straight out? You can buy receivers that have a lift built in. I've even seen ones that are universal fit, where they can be dialed into the height you need. Have you talked to your Chrysler dealer? do they have a parts department? they can order Mopar receivers for you.

good luck with this, let us know how you make out!

Could you get a receiver that had a 100mm drop but turn it over so it had a rise? You would mount the ball from the "bottom".....this make any sense? I don't have my receiver yet so I can't take a picture to explain what I'm saying, sorry.

hey adot, that's what I was saying to Johnny, get a different receiver. The one's I've been looking at can do just that, either lift or lower the height of the ball.

Other than turning it over, removing the ball and reinstalling it so it is right side up again, the only option you have is to get a different insert with the correct drop, or lift to get the ball at the correct height. I have an insert that has an adjustable ball height, but that solution is both expensive and creates more noise when towing an empty trailer due to the tongue weight being too little and the vibration while driving making the multi-part insert rattle more.
