I have a 08 diesel sxt model which i parked up ( no problems ) until I went to start in the next day or two which it refused to start.. The motor would turn over but that was it . It has clocked up 106,000 mls , so I checked with my scanner and it came up with the codes P0201 $07E8 CYLINDER ONE and P0204 $07E8 CYLINDER 4 . So I've put in new injectors and glow plugs because of the mileage which it has done . I had a mechanic check out the wiring from the injectors and glow plugs , all was ok on the connectors . He checked fuel was getting through all ok . I replaced with a new battery just in case. He suggests it should be checked out with an Auto Electrician ?? Is there anybody out there that can pinpoint the problem , if so would be greatly appreciated

has it got any other electrical issues, ANY ?
check the ground point under the battery tray (on the inner chassis leg) there is a large amount of ground cables and the mounting stud is normally corroded, not sure it is the cause of your issue but it could be,

You could have a bad starter but I would have to hear it or and I doubt this it could be compression but that is a severe worse case scenario cause I've seen diesels not start cause of compression

so if you clear the codes (get a cheap bluetooth odb2 reader and the torque android app), it re-appears w/the same codes or no?

You sure the fuel pump is running?

Try:

Hi
I've put new injectors in , cleared codes , reset the TIPM, fuel is getting to the injectors ( turned on key for 2 seconds having undone the nut , fuel getting through ) After all that I turned key on for few seconds then off then tried starting , still no go
I'm at a loss to what the problem is ??????

Compression test it then if that isn't it maybe you just got bad fuel

Ok thanks for that info , i'll check into it and let you know. Im going to double check the fuel relay in the TIMP just in case .
In reading up on it you can get a fuse bypass cable to check if it is working or not
Alright make sure to post if you get it running again

The auto electrician fitted the new speed sensor and on doing so has discovered the ECU computer has packed a sad.
Does anyone know if a NEW ecu is available?
If so would appreciate contacts

Hi All, Back again. Well have had the ECU tested all is ok ( thank goodness ). Auto guy found the problem which was the CRANKSHAFT POSTION SENSOR . Bought a new one from the UK and has found it is faulty. The company claims its genuine but not so.. Does anyone know a reputable company that I can purchase one from ?

regards Wallace
