how do RWD Nitros handle in snow?
We may get some here in Texas on Friday!
I drove my 4WD Nitro in the snow in the mountains and rarely needed to put it in 4WD. The traction control works very well- as good or better than posittraction. I have the 17" Wrangler HP's on mine and they did pretty well on snow and ice.

If you get a typical Texas ice storm--- stay home.

I used to live in Garland Tx and it it all the other crazy drivers that will pile into your Nitro!!

I agree with Ken, the traction control system works very well. You can lose the back end if you want to, but under normal driving it is very reliable to keep you on track. Unfortunately as we all know, not all cars have T.C so even though you may feel safe still beware of others....

We have had one significant snow here in VA, like 8 inches back in January.

Nitro just sailed on through it like nothing, and this is in the mountains. FUN!

winter in Virginia is either severe or mild. This year mild. Looks like it all fell on the great lakes region.

I didn't get any pics... but we finally got some snow here. The nitro did awesome in the snow. Of course, I had to play around a little bit! I kicked the traction control off and did a perfect donut. I did notice while doing fishtails that the brake assist actually works even w/ the traction off. When it starts getting sideways you can feel the brakes coming on trying to correct it. If you let up off the gas it pretty much straightens up for you without steering to correct it.
