New member here posing my first question,

I love my nitro but it has been a real lately.
I just dropped 3400$ on a brand new transmission, took 3 weeks to arrive and install (by a mechanic) I have had it back three days without any problems, all of the sudden very little acceleration power even when flat to the floor. What could this be? Or send back to mechanic?

Thanks!

it sounds like your Nitro has gone into "Limp Home Mode" it's a safty feature, this happens when a fault is detected with the transmision ( could be low transmission fluid ),

to reset the transmission :
1. stop the vehicle,
2. move shift lever into Park,
3. turn off the ignition,
4. wait 10 seconds then restart the engine
5. move shift lever to the desired gear range.

if the problem is no longer detected the transmission will return to normal operation.
if the problem persists, P, R and N, will continue to operate, only 2nd gear will operate in the D (drive) position. (Limp Home Mode) untill the problem is repaired.

have any warning lights come on in the instrument cluster ?.

Wow thanks for that info! It's crazy that you say that because I shut her down and started her again and she was fine for a little while but started acting up again, I think that might be the problem! No warnings in the instrument cluster though! Very weird situation
