So what are the chances that Liberty light bar actually fits on the Nitro too? Isn't the Nitro like 4" wider? But the roof has those black side rails too.
Wonder what it does to the wind going in/over the sunroof.
Hey Mama, ready to step out from behind that Photoshop & take on a lightbar install yet?

It doesn't look too terribly tough...... if you have the nerve to drill the holes in your roof!
Actually, when I first saw the pics of the nitro with the Renegade light bar I half-considered it myself. However, the look the nitro currently has has grown on me and I don't want to change that now.

Has anybody done the modification to put the Liberty lights on their Nitro. Love the look and think it would be a great addition. Any thoughts?
Check them out on Ebay Tpmick. They go for $400 or $500 though. And the wiring is pretty tightly integrated to the Jeep Liberty. So to pull it off, you'd have to rewire it to set it up on a Nitro. Definitely looks cool though.

This would be an awesome mod for somebody with more mechanical and electrical savvy than I do! :p I would love to try it, but I would need help, I know that! :shakehead: I looked through the installation instructions here:

There are many things I don't understand from the rough drawings provided! For instance, in step 14, what is that little picture between the one where they are deburring the drilled hole and the one showing an air compressor handle?

In step 22, what are these thingies? Are they some sort of grounding apparatus? In step 28, they show some sort of connectors from what I can tell, but I'm not sure what they connect.

In step 36, they show a bezel attachment for the LED light, is it possible to get one of these separately? I got an alarm system installed recently, but don't like the look of the hole around the LED on the top of the dash. :(

are you planning on putting the lightbar on your Nitro?
would it be to much to ask to get some photos of the fit?
Step 14

Waldorf- I think its paint or sealer for the raw metal edge of the hole in step 14.

you know, sometimes the pictures aren't obvious in their meaning. but I think after deburring, I would use the air thingy to clean away any loose filings BEFORE I would paint or use a sealer such as silicone. what do you think?

David-what is the width (overall) of the light bar in inches measured from each outside edge? Also, what is the wattage of each light? The ones on eBay don't list the size lights.

I think the air compressor is to speed dry the paint on the roof you have to use after you scratch the hell out of it with the 1" hole saw!:D

that's so funny! :chuckle: It shows you how people can interpret things differently!
