Hey gregaroo, welcome to the forum, look around and enjoy.

As for the oil filter, take a look underneath and behind the front bumper. It is tucked up inside behind a plastic drip tray. It isn't the easiest to get to so i've been taking mine in to get done. Have fun..:)

impossible location

I know this has been answered but want to add my two cents. It appears to me from responses on this board regarding filter location that the filter is relatively easy to get to for most. If you have 4x4 then the differential gets in the way and makes it harder to get to. If you have the tow package the cooling lines also get in the way. If you have both the tow package and 4x4 like I do then it is nearly impossible to change the oil.

The Magic Oil Filter Cup Wrench

So recently I came across the magic oil filter wrench needed to make an oil change on the 3.7L a breeze. Guaranteed!! All that is needed with this wrench is a nice long extension and ratchet. Here's the problem, I cannot find these new anywhere. This was supplied through Snap-on Bluepoint p/n ya990-1. If someone can find these gems let us know.

The only ones I found on the Snapon website didn't have the extension offset, just in the center. Are those the ones you're talking about because the key to this one is that bar welded to the top that offsets your drive.

I also looked at the snap on web site and couldn't find the p/n listed in there catalog, But if you put in the p/n in the search, it gives you the option to order that wrench...I put one on order last night so we will see what i get sent:D

UPDATE:
I just checked my order and it says it has been shipped...I'll give details in a couple of days

Arggggh! I have the FWD tow package and impossible is correct unless you have a rubber arm. The worst part about it is that the right side of the undercarriage is completely open.

The engineers couldn't move the FWD differential (or the oil filter) to this side?!

And we wonder why the Japanese have beat Detroit.
