Well, My plans for the Nitro Meet in Ontario will not be happening with my Nitro R/T.

I was T-Boned at an intersection by a guy in a Nissan 4x4 at 70 k/h. Both his Nissan and my 3 month old Nitro are written off. Nobody seriously injured so that's good.

For those who have Nitro's, you are well protected in the vent of a crash. The vehicle twisted as designed, air bags activated, and I was protected. The wrecking yard is planning to get used parts and reassemble ... scary for a new buyer!

Anyway, I am now in Maine on my way back from a buying spree for another vehicle. I just picked up a 2007 Audi A3 3.2L Quatro ... so I am out of the Nitro fold. Hope you guys and gals all have wonderful luck with your ownership and friendships form this forum.

OUCH!

Glad your Nitro protected you like it was supposed to! From what I've seen, they are good in that respect. Also good to hear there were no serious injuries despite both vehicles being totalled.

Good luck with your Quatro ... sorry to see you leave The Collective!

Bill I am so sorry to hear about your mishap and relieved to hear you were uninjured. Was this a passenger side impact?

Bill, I am glad you are fine and walked away from this! Thank you for telling us as it makes us feel better to know how the Nitro holds up in a crash, not that we ever want to find out! I hope you are happy with your new car....be safe!
