Hello All,
Just joined the forum yesterday:wavey: after surfing the net for accessories and stumbled upon you.
I have an '08 blue SLT.
I purchased the vehicle from Tacoma Dodge. I am starting a new job in Seattle that is 58 miles :Racing:from my home one way so I wanted/needed something that would be comfortable (heated seats a must) and has a drive train that can get me through any snow and ice we might get during the winters here.
I am 6'4" 250+ and so far I am comfortable sitting inside. It can be a challenge getting in and out though.
So far the only negatives are the 16-17 mpg, the squeaky steering column and the fact that I can not get the in vehicle garage door opener to learn my garage door opener code.
Still learning how to operate all the toys installed. The Nav system with the hard drive is cool. I like the looks of the "ALLGIG" :smileup:advertised here. It would be nice to be able to do inputs while the vehicle is in motion...from the passenger side of course ;).
I have an '01 dodge cumins 2500 that I have done many mods to so I am looking forward to modifying my new Nitro too. My wish list:rolleyes: includes but is not limited to....computer chip upgrade, exhaust upgrade and cool air intake. Any suggestions on where to start?:thk: Should I wait until the factory warranty has expired?
I am looking forward to reading your comments.

wow so many questions! awesome colour choice! welcome to the forum! you don't have to wait until your warranty runs out to mod your beast! most mods you see here will not void your warranty in any way. post some pics when you get a chance!

Great to see you here Ray. As you've seen there's lots of great info in the forum's pages.

I had a tricky time getting my garage door opener to work as well. It took about 5 attempts at teaching the buttons. It still isn't as quick to open the garage door as the original but at least it works now.

As for which mod first, I suppose that depends on whether you want to do them yourself and how the weather is. There's quite a few members who have done all these mods already. A quick search will tell you how they feel about them and which manufacturers they prefer.

Most aftermarket parts these days don't void the warranty so you should be good to go, but it always worth a check first.

Have fun modding your Nitro and I look forward to reading about your progress.
