hello guys i just did this 2 days ago. i agree it was hard to take it off i asked my friend how to do it and then pop what there is there are 2 C clips towards the windshield side then a plastic clip towards the sunroof area if you have.. what i did was put a flat head screw driver on the side of the plastic closer to the windshield. then pop one side then the other.. when you remove the plastic there is a metal defector that just pops off.. then pull the bulb out from the sides don't touch the middle becuase you can get oils on them... i didn't change the bulb i actually went to pep boys and was going to buy red bulbs but they didn't have them so i found like slip on silicon covers that cover the bulbs and make them red which are heat resident ect. and cost 3 bucks for 2 and i needed 3. only thing is i have to change the floor ones. but all in all it looks sick hopefully i helped..

yeah.. that def looks good. i plan to replace/modify the overhead lights as well. i would also like to install red lights under the seats as well as change the color of the instrument cluster to red. anyone have input? are there white lights behind there that if i switch to red will make my cluster light up red? black and red are my colors... eventually there'll be custom leather on the seats/console etc... i've already talked to a guy i work with. he's pricing materials now for the seats :D
also.. does anyone have a "tribal" or otherwise meaner looking ram head logo? i'd like to have it embroidered into the head rests. i did a google search and came up with nothing that i liked

Reviving Old Thread

Hi All,

I need more light from the overhead console light (at least on the drivers side.)

The OEM is PLW214-2A and was wondering if anyone knew the wattage of the bulb that's in there, and what size I can go up to. Any options with something that won't make the roof burst into flames?

Thank you!
