Sorry for making a new thread on this I just wasn't finding anyone who had the exact same issue and while I'm hoping new plugs and coils will fix this problem, I have until weds before the parts show up. I'm mostly posting this because i'm worried they aren't actually the issue and I just launched off a parts canon for no reason.

The Truck:
2008 dodge nitro, 4x4, 3.7L, auto trans, 141k(ish) miles. Bought at 79k and have never changed the plugs.

The issue:
p0300 and will not start

How it Happened:
So maybe 2-3 times in the last 10 months i've tried to start the truck and it would feel like it was stuck in this no start loop and it would shake angrily. I'd kill the key, wait a couple of confused seconds, try again and everything would work fine for months. Today coming back from a nieces birthday and about 15 miles from home it started to misfire under load. If I kept it under 2k it seemed fine but anything more than that and it would shake and misfire. I wasn't going to leave it so I limped home, took care of some stuff and went back out to run the scan tool.

the only codes i have are p0300 and p0507. 507 is high idle which I don't understand it's always idled around 800-900rpm with no issue but from what I can tell with google searching that shouldn't have anything to do with 0300.

I tried ohming out the coils but it's dark and I can't get both leads in there without blocking the light to see where i'm stabbing so in the morning i'll just be taking all the coils and plugs off for inspection and i'll ohm them out then. My plugs are probably stock so I'm hoping it's them it just seems really odd to get plug/coil failure with no specific cylinders mentioned. I've never had rough Idle issues so I don't think it's the EGR valve sticking. Also when all this happened the exhaust smelled very rich.

slight update:
Pulled the plugs. They were the stock NGK's as far as I can tell. Apparently going 141k on stock plugs gets your electrode down to .080 - .090 for every plug.

Even though I already ordered plugs and coils I decided to pick up another set of plugs from napa (NGKs again), put those in, put the old coils back in. The truck now starts and idles, i'm getting a misfire on cylinder 6 code now so I'll be leaving it parked until my coils show up. The exhaust also reeked of gas, hoping it's just from all the trying to starts before replacing the plugs. Or the 15 mile drive while misfiring..

Second Update:

Put new coils in, truck started up and idled fine but the exhaust was still super rich. Didn't throw a MIL right away but after backing it up away from the house thinking it needed to "burn off" some excess fuel it popped on before I could take it for a test drive and was doing the blink again.

Plugged in my scan tool and i'm getting Misfire in cylinder 6 still. When I first started it I still had the tool hooked up and it was showing all errors cleared so it wasn't stored from my last reading.

Watched a video of some guy who basically had the exact same problem and he had a fuel injector stuck open, I don't have all the fancy test equipment he had but I popped the coil and plug out of cylinder 6, shoved my borescope down there and you could see gas pooled on the piston so I'm about to pull the fuel rail off. Figure if I pop the injector and the rail doesn't dump gas that will confirm it's stuck open or not.

I'll probably look it up before getting a reply but which fuse disables the fuel pump when trying to crank the motor but not actually start it?

Final Update:
Fixed!

Pulled the #6 injector, no fuel came out of the rail and I was able to blow through the injector without issue. Siphoned the gas out of the cylinder, put in the new injector, assembled everything back up and she fired right up and idled fan. Absolutely POURED white smoke burning off all that fuel in my exhaust but after a 10 minute drive no more smoke, no error codes, no misfires and having spark plugs with electrodes made a world of difference in power. Also yes I changed the oil, it definitely had some gas in it.
