So, I understand that this 82210083 kit is made by Mopar. that's why it includes that "answering/voice dial" button. It isn't the retrofit kit that fully integrates with the REQ radio.
Yes, that part number is the Mopar kit that works with the REQ, REN and RER radios on the Nitro. It allows you to use the factory radio buttons to activate the system (thus no microphone buttons like the other kits). Hope this helps. Just make sure it works with your cell phone!

Andre, are you wanting to use the uconnect module with the buttons on the REQ radio? If so, the buttons that you see on the radio relating to handsfree etc... will not work. I had the mopar uconnect in my Caliber, when a call comes in, you will push a button on the Mopar unit to answer. So when you say "fully integrated", I hope you don't mean in that sense demonstrated above.

I have the RER radio and the UConnect (factory installed) and when a call comes in, I have to hit the uconnect button on the radio to answer.

I see in this post http://www.nitroforumz.com/showthread.php?t=4958&highlight=factory+u-connect that the kit has the same part number with the one I have found on Ebay. What's the difference between them? here is the link of the ebay one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBTOX%3AIT&viewitem=&item=200168773615&_trksid=p3984.cTODAY.m238.lVI
There is no difference as far as I can tell. What I can tell you though, is that the unit you're looking at, WILL NOT WORK with the buttons you see on your radio. That is a whole different unit, which is the one that the factory uses, and the unit that Waldorf is referring too.

Thanks for your answer, but you are totally confusing me . Later in this post Starbandit says that the buttons on the radio will work with this kit. Also FranknBeans who wrote that great article of installing the kit says that kit is fully integrable besides the microphone that has to be put somewhere, instead of being integrated in the rearview mirror. I think that this #82210083 is the right kit for me. I think......:i_rolleyes::i_rolleyes::i_rolleyes:

On the Nitro, the buttons DO work. You can also use the mic to speak to answer.

Well let the OP BUY IT & TRY IT. Let us all know how it goes. I know I had the same unit installed in my Caliber, and was told by the dealer that the RADIO BUTTONS WOULD NOT WORK with it. :shakehead:
Was your Caliber kit a mic only or one with buttons? Being the newer Jeeps and Nitro's use the high speed bus, they use a different system. Did you ever try the radio buttons?

Mine should be waiting for me when I arrive from my road trip, however I'm rigging it to work with a factory mirror and making my own harness for the oem look.

Was hoping someone with the Nitro kit would chime in, but so far no takers. I tried last night to find the online instructions for the Nitro that I had found before (via Google) but could not recall the correct forum that had it posted. It showed the microphone only, same as the JK series Jeep kits.

I have just returned from my dealer. the online activation of the kit was successful, it only took 3 minutes, and it was made free of charge.
About the kit, it's a marvel. It works flawlessly, I have paired several mobile phones, it works even with my iPhone. I am very happy. :Racing:

CONGRATS!!! It's a nice feature to have! Glad to see you got the iPhone to work also, some have had problems.
