I wanted to know if I had the correct part numbers for the newly designed and improved fitting roof rails for the Nitro, ours needs to be replaced and I want my husband to have the new rail (2 peice?) number to give the service rep.

New Improved Roof Rails

# 68032966-AB
# 68032967-AB

Does anyone know which is right or left? Thanks for verifying these for me, it's much appreciated. :)

how the heck do I talk my dealer into replacing my roof rails? They tell me today that they searched "the computer" and don't see anything about them! I also asked they to look at the close out panel under the steering wheel. they said "yup, it's flimsy but there is no TSB on it in the computer"!!!!

Replace Roof Racks

Hi
I went to my dealer and all I said was my roof racks were lifting up. They did not even look at them They just ordered new ones. They said that Dodge had told them to replace on all Nitro's.

Pull the panel off and bend the rails back and snap 'em ;)

Try a different dealer. My passenger rail snapped and i took it back to the dealer I bought from. I even took the the part numbers of the new rails with me, but they just shrugged and said they never heard of them. They treated me like gold and replaced the rail, but it was with the old ones and using the 3M tape. The repair was good and is holding up, but I expect it to fail eventually.

I went to a closer dealer to order a sunroof deflector and went in to the service area just to check it out and chat. These guys knew all about the new rails and said if the other ones start to lift, just bring it in for the new replacements.
