Supporting Vendor Auto Anything has them, looks to be the best price
I've seen and shipping is free. There's 2, stage 1 for stock, stage 2 if
you've done catback, intake and 180 thermostat and want to run 91.

Click on their add banner and use the $10 discount code.
Okay so far I've got a custom 3" piping exhaust system with no resonator and a 40 series Flowmaster. I have a K&N CAI on the way and am about to order the Jet Stage 2 but am wondering, do I need to do more work to my engine or can I go ahead and get the PCM now? Please hurry with a reply cause I'm waiting on your reply and then I'm ordering it, Plain and simple.

Sounds like your set up is what the Stage 2 is designed for, I'd also add
the 180 thermostat like they suggest. Without it I'd imagine your fans
would be on all the time.

I've done this (t-stat) on my Charger and it was really easy. I have the
4.0L so I'm not sure if it's the same place as yours. I can send you a link
to an install on a Charger, I'm sure it would be very similar.

I run the stage 2 with no thermostat change & have had 0 problems. I do run 91 or higher. I see roughly a 1.5mpg gain. My old stage 1 was around 1 mpg gain. I also have Flowmaster 70 (not big on the loud noise) & CAI from AEM. LOL!

I'm sure you can always run w/o it and you'd be fine but I'd also
think that running one (180) you would see more of a benefit.
I guess I'm assuming they changed the threshold temp for the fans
to kick on thus having your engine run cooler. Cooler temps will give
you less heat soak which robs the engine of power. I also assumed
they programmed the chip to match these parameters since they don't
mention this change for the stage 1. Thermostats run about $5-$15 and
usually take a few minutes to change, IMO well worth swapping after
spending over $200 on the chip.

Your mileage may vary......:D

I think I have a few questions for the techs over at Jet Chip :chuckle:

Did a little more looking around and found a good thread on this.

Doesn't seem to be necessary for the 3.7l, Jet Chip doesn't even
make one for the Nitro so I really doubt the PCM even takes it into
consideration. Looks like they sell a separate controller for the fans
but again, don't make it for the Nitro.

I'll probably still throw one in when I can find the part #.

To my knowledge no one makes a cooler thermostat as I asked & no parts store could find one. That was 1.5 months ago so it may have changed. I did run a cooler one in my last vehicle with a stage 2 though.

Autoanything also has/had a coupon code for 10% off. I used it when I got my Stage II from them. I have been running my S II for some time now without the 180 T stat. No problems. My Nitro actually runs a bit cooler with the chip in. Just some thoughts...
