I have black 22s on my black 08 Liberty, I want to paint the calipers and I cant decide between red or black (feel free to input on that one also). I was wondering if anyone had painted their calipers, and if I could see how it looked. I know that G2 makes a great caliper paint kit for about $35. Thanks for the pics......

I've seen red painted calipers in a pic on here somewhere. Maybe someone younger than me with a memory will be able to tell you who it was.

Try doing a search as well on "painted calipers" and see if you find anything. I seem to re-call a thread on this a few months back.

I personally think black would look good with theme you have going there. Red may stick out too much where as black would blend in with the rims and the stealthy look of your ride.
I agree with 300 here, you've already got a black-on-black look going here. If you shoot for red calipers, they'll definitely stand out... IMHO not in a good way.

At the same time, going black on the calipers will go with the color schema, but won't really jump out at anybody unless they're inspectice the brake pads. While I'm not enough of an 'car guy' to know what caliper paints are available, I think the best complement to the car (especialy the wheels) would be to go with a metallic paint. Although not as eye-catching as red, it'll be able to be seen through the rims but, more importantly, will complement them nicely (again, IMHO).

Was this the pic? I've seen it rotating on the bar at the top of the forum pages, so I just kept mashing 'Refresh' until it popped up again. Apologies to anyone who has ownership of it....

I'm basically lazy when it comes to these things, but I wanted my Calipers to "pop". MGP makes a set of Caliper Covers for the Nitro. I chose Red because I thought the it would compliment my Bright Metallic Silver. I do not recall of all of the colors that they offer. Installation was very simple. They are advertised to keep down the brake dust which they do - my wheels are always clean.

I painted mine red. I have white exterior and aluminum 17" wheels. I have been using the same duplicolor red rotor paint for numerous brake calipers. I can post pics once I remember how to do such.
