Hi folks,
I came back from my dealer yesterday with the news that they have ordered a new MyGig for my R/T. I informed them about odd volume behavior (intermittantly it would not have any volume, no matter how much I futzed with the volume controls.) Anyhow, thinking that they would smile and chalk me up a nutcase, the service rep came out after an hour (oil change, recall fix, and tire rotation) and told me about the MyGig on order. He says that there have been some issues with the system. He did tell me it was backordered, but I am fine with that. I really like my dealer!
Not sure if I was clear, but even the GM at the dealership said that they are moving toward recalling the MyGig systems. Seems like it is more of a rolling event, in a sense. Maybe if you go into the dealer with an issue, they check and order you a new one.
Now I am not sure if this is posted elsewhere; if so, please make the appropriate correction ( I checked posts for myGig and recall, to no avail). Anyhow, hope this helps.
