Did anybody solve this problem? I have just purchased a Nitro last week for my wife and central locking is only working for the driver door (Australian market model) RIght hand drive. I have been reading all night on this forum and when I find the exact same problem there is no answer! Can anybody help? The wife loves this car but she can't get the pram out for my boy, it's locked in the boot that won't open
Welcome to the forum MattBox.

When you have a chance, head over to the Newbie Section and say "Hi".
Tell us a little about yourself and your ride.
That way we can welcome you all proper like.

Have you tried a Neg(-) battery disconnect for ten minutes? The will reset the computers if there is a glitch.
Nitrogen will be here shortly. But here is his thread with basically the same issue.
It has to do with an export double lock system we do not have in the US.

Hi, just to confirm, does the drivers door lock and unlock without any problems, and the rest of the door locks are inoperative .
have you looked at the EVIC door lock setting in the owners handbook.

Hi Scar0, hope you are well today, sorry for my rudeness this morning. I have read your links and that has given me plenty to go an check tomorrow, its raining at the moment and plan to get into it tomorrow. Nitrogen you are correct, drivers door works correctly but none of the others. The car didn't come with an owners manual. Also, is there a way to open the boot manually, the babies pram it's stuck in there?

I'm also in Australia, so understand the time difference.

Regards, Matt

There is a hatch lock release that is accessible from the inside.
See this thread post 15 for a Pic of the hatch lock.
The White lock/unlock knob is not circled.
There is a small access panel you can remove from the inside. It has clips on the bottom and tabs on the top (open from bottom, then slide it down to remove.).
Then you will have to reach down to get to the white knob to unlock it.
It is tough to get to, but can be done.
Turn the white knob 1/16th turn clockwise. This will release the locking mechanism and allow you to open the hatch.
But remember that the hatch will remain unlocked unless you manually turn the white knob again.

Your welcome. Hope you get this figured out soon. Nothing worse then having a rig that does not work right!
BTW you can download an owners manual from here for free.

So I came across this problem not too long ago. When I lock the car, all locks go down and lock and car honks just like it should. However, whenever I push the key fob to unlock, only the driver side door unlocks and the remaining 3 passenger doors and rear hatch stay locked, refusing to unlock no matter how many times I push the fob. This also happens when I sit in the Nitro and try unlocking it by pushing the unlock switch on the door panel.

When it first happened, it was only for the afternoon and before I could take a look at it the next day, it had gone back to functional. Seemed like a electrical hiccup. However, this time, it has happened again and has been 2 days since it happened.

Has anyone ever had this problem?! It's a 2007 Dodge Nitro with 90k miles.

ALSO - I have tried pulling relays and checked all fuses and all of the relays are fine and so are the fuses. I tried resetting the electrical system by disconnecting the battery and connecting it several minutes later. Everything else works just fine, windows, radio, wipers, etc.

It's just the power door locks.....

This forum is great!! Unfortunately I'm having the same issues.as many of you, my doors won't lock or unlock and it sucks!! So, I make an appointment online to bring it in to my local dealership to have it serviced. 5 minutes later an employee calls me back and tells me that because I've never had my Nitro serviced there that they can't fix my truck!! I was shocked to say the least. I began to explain to her how dangerous it was to drive a vehicle w/out working locks! She placed me on hold for a few minutes and came back on and said " Oh, we've decided to take a look at your vehicle and finally scheduled me an appt.

there is a thread on the dodge nitro forum https://www.nitroforumz.com/threads/tipm-repair-export.40350/page-9#post-295705 it tells you how to fix not an easy fix the easiest way is to buy a new tipm
there are no relays or fuses or wiring issues you could change that would fix this problem the power door lock realys are welded on the main computer board you would need electronic skills to do the fix

Ah What? Refusing to service a Dodge at a Dodge dealership? Do they have so much $ they don't want any of yours? LOL
Sorry, but this is just to much.
Anyway, keep us posted on what they find.

temporarely you could wire the hatch lock unlock motor to a dpdt center off switch and use the cigarette lighter plug to feed it 12 volts

If the lock actuator is not working you may need to replace it.
Sometimes a little WD-40 on the actuator will allow it to move again.
In the link Nitrogen provided, it will show you how to remove the inside door panel.
In order to get to the actuator/door latch, you will also have to remove the carrier plate.
See this thread. https://www.nitroforumz.com/threads...-replacement-carrier-plate-replacement.39900/

don't waste your time trying to fix this unless your'e an electronics technician it's the unlock relay on the mother board of your tipm computer you can probably get one on ebay for cheaper than the dealers but it must be flashed with your vehicules vin number or go to the dealers probably over 1 grand seriously a couple of power locks 1 grand thanks dodge

The member(Sajor) you quoted, has not been on the forum for 7 years... His is a very old post, 7 years ago, and he has not been back on the forum since. (BTW you have quoted that same post 2 times before in this thread. This makes 3 times...)
It's not really relevant to the last posted question. Which only concerns 1 lock.
