Approx. 2:30am my son heard my Nitro's alarm sound. H looked out the window on the left side of the house and saw no one(the garage blocks the view on the right side). This morning I get into my Nitro, remove the sun shade and TAADAAAA! dried egg on the windshield. After further survellance I discovered another egg hit on the passenger side, which hit with enough force to spider web the paint. At this point my Christianity was waning, but it held. I am going to talk to the father of some rowdy kids up the street which I suspect of the damage.

Man I hate that kind of stuff, Years ago a kid whacked my car with a hard snow ball , I stopped and caught him and he denied it! Nothing I could do but holler at the brat! :shakehead:

Seriously though, that does suck big time. Some punks egged my Dakota once and hit it with enough force that the egg shell chipped the paint. The worse part is that I didn't notice it until that night and the egg baked in the paint. I never could get it to look right after that. Hope your's cleans up.

My Nitro got egged to. I got up one morning, another day of work, removed my sun shade and notice a egg shell on my windshield. Of course I got very piss off. While driving I was like only one egg? After I got to work I looked at my grille and find another one smack in the middle of it.

Thank god it wasnt sunny and it was raining all day. But I find the dumb asses that did it, I ll beat the **** out of their own cars....

Sucks man, sorry to hear that. Eggs do alot more damage then people think. Its not the force of the throw, its something with the egg itself that eats through paint. The damage is unfortunately, irreversable, without having the panel repainted. Personally, I would have it repainted while the vehicle is new, unless you expect it to be a usual thing to be egged. Then its pointless. Again, sorry to hear this.

Thanks for all the concern. I talked to the Dad of his miscreant son and he seemed only a wee bit concerned. I will now drop the lawyer word in a few appropriate places in the next conversation and see if I can't pique his interest a little more. I'll update everyone later.

I did not read any posts yesterday, but dude, I am SICK to my stomach for you and you are a better person than me....I would have lost the christianity of ALL those who live in texas, my head would have exploded....you need to get a very big and very mean dog and just let him lurk around at night. can you call the police and file vandalizm charges? hope you get it repaired. somebody need to beat their children....just disrespectful, I hope for their sake my kids never do something like that....cause the next time they would be seen would be on the back of a milk carton

If it happens again, might I recommend putting in one of those cheap 20 hour loop surveillance cameras? They don't cost too much, and loop-record on a hard drive. It's proof positive of who did it, and THAT will save you bundles. You can bet that these kids will be back, especially now that you talked to their (worthless?) father.
Just an idea, we used one in my police dep't to figure out who was egging our new Charger. Not sure of the camera's cost, but the sarge said it was pretty cheap.

I experienced a similar situation when my wife bought a new black Subaru and the egg put fine cracks in the paint.

I hate this stuff and the worst thing is that you can never really prove it and sometimes the jerks come back.

I think it just reflects a general degredation in society.

Is this just a problem in the US & Canada? Or do we have international morons as well?

And people wonder why there is road rage!!! That is disgusting!! I see there has been some excellent parenting in the past for these brats. Both the kids and the parents should be punished!!!!
