Hi folks. I pick up my Nitro on Wednesday, the waiting is torture. I found this forum and can't believe all the information available.

Please excuse the newbie questions. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the type and location on where to get a good cargo liner. I tend to throw my sports equipment and dogs in the back of vehicles and I could see it getting beat up pretty fast.

Are rear mud flaps worth the investment? I have no experience yet, but it seems like the back could get pretty messy with snow, mud, etc thrown back. Where's the best place and kind to purchase?

Also, my mp3 player only has a USB connection. Is it easy to find an adaptor to fit the Nitro?...Do I get this from the dealer?

My Nitro is equipped with Uconnection, but wouldn't you know it, my existing phone isn't bluetooth compatable. Is there a preferred brand of phone?

Sorry for all these newbie questions, I just can't wait to take possession and enjoy all the features to the fullest.
Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum ottawanitro.

You can geta nice Nitro rug for the back from Mopar. Also the mud flaps are useful where for us Canadians because the back gets messy pretty quick. Send a PM to AdamC at Eastway Chrysler to see what deal he can give you.

You should be able to find a USB to 3.5mm jack on ebay somewhere or maybe radio shack.

I'm not sure about the bluetooth phone question but I'm sure you'll get an answer soon.

Finally, were having a Nitro meet at Niagara Falls in July weekend of 19 & 20. It would be great to see you there..

Thanks for the replys folks, very helpful. I'll no doubt have more questions once I actually get to drive the thing; one more sleep.

I'm guessing no one messes with a poster named "Meangirl" from Texas. That name made me laugh, surely you have to warm to Canadian guys though as women are revered as a source of heat during this brutally cold snap we're getting these days.

Ottawa Nitro,

Welcome to the forum. Don't be afraid to ask any questions, no matter how basic they seem. We are here to help.

I orderd my Nitro from the factory and the wait was agonizing. The only thing that kept me going was this forum.

How long did you have to wait for your Nitro?

Welcome aboard. As CL has already answered most of your questions you find that you get answers very quickly here in Nitro Land.

As far as the BT compatability. It depends on what service you have. I have AT&T Cingular. my phone is BT compatible. As most of their phones are now adays. Your best bet is to go and talk to your provider and see what BT phones they have availiable. Personally I like the PDA type phones. But then again you should get what you need and there are you basic phones out there with BT compatibility. Talk to your provider and see what they say.

If you have any other questions please dont hesitate to ask. I know more about phones then I do the Nitro.LOL

Hey, welcome aboard! It's always nice to have another "Nitro" fan...afterall, they are truly awesome. I've had mine for almost a year and really...couldn't be happier. I hope you LOVE yours---the wait is worth it!

As for the Bluetooth connectivity, I have an LG flip and it works beautifully with ALL BT compatable devices...Nitro included. I think almost all of the "newer" phones will work just fine.

Enjoy your new obsession!
