I ordered a Katzkin leather kit to replace my cloth seats. The order sheet says that not all Nitro's have the same rear seat configuration. I looked on the detailed order that comes with new cars detailing options etc... it says I have 65/35 rear split-folding seats in my Nitro. Anybody have a definitive answer on this? All help much appreciated, and thank you in advance.

Thanks for the lightening fast reply KC! (love ya man) here is a link to the page I'm talking about:

The link you sent me shows only one type of rear seat so this obviously is the right seat. Katzkin makes good stuff, they don't make mistakes.

60/40 or 65/35 are more or less the same thing. The point is that the Nitro is not 50/50 or 33/33/33 or 40/60 the only seat congifurations that exist are these types.

Thanks Ken (everyone else), I sure hope there are no mistakes, because Sars says once you order, you cannot refuse, replace or anything else!

Just to be safe, call Katzkin directly before ordering-- there could be some other issue that you need to know. Personally I would not buy from a place that did not offer returns -- for any price.

Maybe rethink where you buy your seats. The price on the site is only averaqe. paid about that price to the dealer -- fully installed and covered by my factory warranty.

You are sooo correct Ken my friend. But, too late now! Can't turn back. I spoke with the installer at Sars this morning. At the end f the conversation, we were 100% clear on the rear seats. He even said exactly what you did, about 65/35 & 60/40 being the same thing. ;)

Glad to be of help.

You will really like these seats. They are much nicer than the OEM leather seats and they fit very well. A big part of this is the skill and experience of the installer.

Post pics when you get your seats.

That's what I keep reading KC, I will be having a extremely experienced shop in NYC install the seats. They're called East Coast Custom, and they do it all. I mean everything, performance, paint, interior, audio, lift kits, too much too list. I will definitely post pics of my Nitro when I get the seats done. I've added quite a few things I haven't posted pics of. ;)

When you get it back, check the rear seatbelt bolts to make sure they are tight. They normally take these out during the install.

Other areas to check are the side plastic panels on the seats and the front seat clips. The front seat clips on all seat covers (including OEM cloth) have a tendency to unhook themselves. I am thinking about putting some screws or clamps on mine.

Will do KC, you best believe I will be doing a thorough inspection.
