Has anyone out there done a remote oil filter on their 3.7 litre? I think this would be a hot seller considering where the current filter is located.
what would that entail? is this something that other vehicles have? do you have a pic you could share?

No I dont have a picture, but it is a pretty standard affair for diesels and other vehicles. If you google "remote oil filter" you will see some of the kits. I am seriously thinkging of getting some more info on this and trying it. I will keep people informed if I proceed and do this. The filter is a bear to get to and I like to do my own oil, so I will fiddle with it until it get it figured out.

This is a good idea. Is this kit listed for the Nitro?

It's a good idea, but a word of caution, whatever hoses and hose connectors are supplied with the kit, I'd scrap them. Take them to a hydraulic hose place and have them make up a set of high quality hose and fittings, the cheap hoses/fittings that come with these kits WILL leak over time. Thanks, Douglas

I was thinking of the same thing. My F150 has one and I reach under the front left fender, it is so easy. I almost cryied when I did my first oil change on the Nitro. Keep in mind you will need to add at least another qt of oil.

Texas Nitro 1091 08 Stone White, 6-speed CAI, bug shield, custom wheels, P265R18 A/T GoodYear Silot Armor, (MyGig) well it is a longer story. But I should get it back soon.
