What's the problem here is what's called the key-in-sense polarity is wrong. For some reason we have seen this polarity change for no reason. Follow this procedure and you should be good to go. Before you start you will need to locate the programming button the main remote start custom harness.

A. Close Hood.
B. Turn the ignition to the 'on' position.
C. Press and Hold the programming button. After 10 seconds the horn with chirp and the lights with flash 3 times.
D. Press and release the programming.
E. Press and release the programming button again. The horn will chirp and the lights will flash 4 times indicating the system has enter Option Bank 1.
F. Press and release the programming button again. The horn will chirp and the lights will flash 5 times indicating the system has enter Option Bank 2.
G. Advance to Option 2 by pressing and releasing the brake pedal 2 times. The horn will chirp and the lights will flash 2 times indicating the system is at Option 2.
H. Verify whether the LED in the main remote harness is 'on' of 'off'. It should be 'off'.
I. Press the remote start button once and the LED should turn 'on'. The Key-In-Sense Polarity is now positive.
J. Turn the key 'off'
K. Try the operation of the remote start.

Let me know if this works for you of if you've got more questions.

Nitrotech, before I do your polarity instructions.....what are the exact instructions for using the fob? It is a mopar installed unit (done at the dealer) and the fob only has one button. Any idea where I should look for the programming button? Is it a button or toggle? How many times should I be pressing it? I can't find the manual and my brain has somehow deleted that info....old age I guess...........

cheers,

John
