today my remote starter was not working. it was only honking once instead of the typical two times and did nothing after the honk. after i turned it on manually and drove and bit i parked and tried again sure enough it worked this time. anyone have a similar problem?

it seems to me like either a door or trunk was patially open, or for some reason the key fob needed resetting. When this happens, get in the car make sure trunk is closed and all doors you thought were closed are. turn the key to the on position and then back to off. this resets the key fob. that is why after you manually turned it on then drove and turned it off it worked, you reset it.
