Ever noticed the ugly packing tape covering the drain holes on the bottom of the Nitro's hatch?
Try a Chrysler plug with the number 04814648. $4 each x 2.
You'll need a bit of lube to squeeze her home but it cleans things up nicely.
IMHO.

If there are drain holes in the hatch, maybe we need to keep them open and the packing tape is only for transport?

I guess I should have elaborated (& I'll try to post a picture tomorrow).
They are not solid rubber plugs.
They have a slitted membrane down the center for water to seep out.
My Magnum had the same packing tape and many owners have swapped in these plugs now.
I took a gamble that the Magnum # would work for the Nitro.
It does, I just had to smear them in silicone to slid them homw.

OK that makes sense.

After seeing this, I looked at mine. To me it seems that I can just peel off the tape altogether as the hole is not that noticable, at least not on a Black Nitro. The tape has a hole in it and I don't see any function that it serves.
