Rockfather lift kit

Hi I'm trying to get a lift kit from this website, but I'm having a hard time finding reviews, I've looked on the forums, and it seems like people tend to get different parts separately or different parts from kits

The kit I was looking at was the Nitro Rockfather Deluxe Dodge Nitro lift kit: Dodge Nitro suspension lift kit
It says it boosts the high to 2.5 because over 3 increases part complexity. I was looking at this one because its a full kit, and I needed new springs

But on the other hand, there's the Jeep liberty lifts Jeep Liberty OME: 2002-2013 Jeep Liberty OME Suspension Components
I was looking at OME budget liberty suspension for the KK, but I wasn't too sure what the suspension should be.
I talked too someone at the shop and he said its based on how much you plan too load the vehicle with, and that basically the more heavy-duty the suspension is the tougher the ride will be unless you have weight in it, but I was planning on adding things like solar panels too the top roof rack, so I didn't know if I should pick a medium or light plus this kit is only a inch and a half which isn't much

FYI, RRO gets horrible reviews in many of the forums. I have in my notes to avoid that vendor. It's too bad because they are fairly local to me. Some posts claimed RRO basically bad mouths all other products/vendors meanwhile copied other's designs but had much lower quality.

So, here's some of what I've collected in my notes:

While you can do up to 4" lift, 3" is the max lift for two reasons:
  • the stock UCA maxes at a 3" lift
  • 3" is the max lift you can do without causing the angle on the CV axle to bind

JBA UCAs can do lift ranges between 1" - 4":
  • 1" is bare minimum with JBA UCA
  • 2-3" is sweet spot for alignment
  • 4" is max

Here's an excellent summary of lift kit options, including various OME spring rates.

Depending on your lift height you may need to extend your brake hoses--which means you'll need to cut the lines and add your own flares. Here's my thread on doing that. Crownperformance.com will make custom SS brake hoses to any length.

here is some info on the rockfather lift kit,
here is a thread from "ScarO" he was the first to get a Nitro lifted, its packed with info and photo's,
I am also interested in this, as I think I may need to get, at least, new front springs. My Nitro is leaning, a good half inch, to the left. The person who owned it before me had replaced the front strut assemblies, and rear shocks, with cheap StrutTek parts. I'm kind of thinking that has something to do with the lean. Or maybe my rear springs are actually worn? And also, when I had my 1.25" spacers on, with the stock 20" chrome rims, I was getting some rubbing. And I thought I had read that 1.25" spacers were supposed to not rub with the stock 20's?

So, if I have to get new springs, I was also maybe looking into a mild lift. I haven't read much good about Rocky Road Outfitters, but their description of that light duty Liberty lift sounds like what I'd be looking for. I don't want to get anything that gives me a rough(er) ride. I also don't particularly want to spend the money to get the JBA upper control arms, if I don't have to. Although, I wouldn't be opposed to it, as I'm sure mine are the original ones, and it probably wouldn't hurt to change them.

Maybe I'll try and get some mild Emu springs, and put together some struts? I've heard good things about Bilstein shocks, as far as ride quality.

I see Scar0 got the 2 JBA control arms, rear springs, shocks, and A-Arms but he doesn’t say where he got everything from except the control arms and based off of what I read I’m assuming those are the only parts I’d need

From what I gather, JBA, or Jeepin By Al, used to sell a whole lift kit for the Nitro. I think now all you can get from them is the A arms.

I think a lot of Nitro lift kits have become somewhat scarce.
