a few months ago you couldn't sell your first born for one.

I saw 3 on a local dealer's lot... and 2 on another dealer's lot..

This could be good news for people looking for R/Ts after all these months..

I wonder what the heck changed.

because 07 was the initial model year for Nitro's, they had all sorts of start-up production issues, mostly with the R/T and the MyGig, among other issues. Now they are in a new model year and they have everything working right, I would suppose. I can't remember, but I thought HighVoltageNitro had a buddy at the plant in Toledo, OH. Maybe we can get an insiders view of how things are going over there? Was it you, HVN? :Banana01::Banana01::Banana01:

I assumed it was some sort of issue with a piece, part or something about the R/T (I've read that the 4.0 is a low capacity item, maybe that was it).

Hopefully we can get an insider's view indeed. :thk::D

That would be warrorbob with the friend at the plant. You will probably have to PM him to get an answer.

Kind of off topic, but have any of you gone through dodge . com and priced your '07 as and '08? Mine is only 100 USD higher as an '08 now than the sticker was on it back in April, and they are offering 500 dollars cash back on them, plus the lifetime warranty. With the comparable options that I got on mine, this also includes in these totals the back up sensors. Must be the 100 dollars extra!

This is why I no way would ever pay them for the lifetime warranty. They have already got more money from us that didn't get the free warranty than they are charging for new ones and giving the warranty away!

Dodge just dropped the prices of the Nitros because (besides the R/T) they were not selling as quickly as they had hoped. Plus Chrysler has a bunch of rebates to make sure that Canadians are purchasing cars in Canada.

Extended warranty on power train

:Racing:I agree with HighVoltageNITRO no way am I going to purchase a warranty for what they are now including on the nitro. I can't understand why it shouldn't be on all 2007 nitro's. Chrysler is well aware of the transmission problems, what makes them think anyone would pay for a lifetime warranty on something they put out that is a big big problem.

dodges site seems to reflect the same price mine was when I got in (ordered in July)

Dodge has recently announced a new round of incentives to help combat the whole dollar thing in Canada... but as far as I know the nitro is not on the list..

What exactly are these rebates that you speak of?
Hi Jason,

I'm not aware of any specific rebates on the Nitros - I posted what was on dodges site for their mega rebates.

on dodges site now using my old calgary postal cose the incentives look like only 1.99% financing for 36 months.

If you're looking I'd shoot at a dealer for something like invoice + 500 + tax out the door and the best financing they can offer.

I've had some very good and some very bad luck with various chrysler dealers in calgary.

I'm moving ahead with my purchase tomorrow. I'm not going through any dealer financing thank God. I've gone through complete hell dealing with the Chrysler dealers in Calgary. I'm taking one to court for taking my deposit after delivering a vehicle that was not what we agreed on. Their first solution to the problem was, "Well, you have a choice. Either we can work a deal for a diferent vehicle, or we will keep your deposit". I'm factory ordering as well too, so looking at a 3 month wait for the vehicle. But I'd rather that, than a lot vehicle that may have have been driven harshly already.

I looked into the rebates and you're right, there isn't one on the 08 now, but by the time I get the vehicle from the factory, there may be one, and the dealership is honoring that rebate, which is awesome.

Anyways, thanks for your help
