Thats not really an issue with the Nitro. Static electricity is at its worst in really dry low humidity (cold) times. You can prevent it by "grounding" yourself to a metal object..keys/door frame etc while getting out of your car :)

My Dakota used to light me up everytime I'd get out of it. I picked up a ground strap at Napa for about $10 that was bolted to the frame & drug underneath. It helped except under the dryest/coldest of conditions.
The Nitro doesn't seem to have the problem.
