so what do you think of this type of stripe on the black nitro.....I am leaning that way, who am I kidding I am at a full tilt!!....I love the look, but look at the car....dreamie...

the photo really doesn't do the vehicle nor the stripes justice, but they looked sooo cool, the best descrip I can give is like a semi-gloss black, I guess I need to find me a stripe making fella and go from there.

have you found any info on stripes or were you just brain storming?

I've seen some pics of other vehicles with the double wide stripes like this and medium gray on blue looks good too! haven't gone pricing yet. I think the sticker vendor we have here might have some, will have to check it out!

Go to www.Dodge.com and check out the new Challenger. I think you it the screen one time and it'll take you to a second site. Then it shows where you can change colors on the Challenger, and one of them is black with a dull type double strips on the hood and roof etc. Not sure if the Nitro would need strips on roof as nobody would see them. Be nice for a photoshop expert to try it.

I like stripes. I thought about hood stripes for a long time. I even went to the trouble of taking pix of vehicles on a local dealer lot -from above, sort of- and drawing stripes on them. I could never 'get to happy place' with any of my drawings. This is why I went with the tail stripes. They just seem to fit so perfectly. I like the idea of hood stripes and hope someone can get it to look good. The problem I found was you want to put the stripes centered on the raised panels on the hood. But when you do that, they are not centered on the grill sections. Then you have to consider that the raised sections are not the same width from the front to the back of the hood. If you apply a uniform width stripe to these areas, the difference in width will become more apparent. I think it can be done, but the stripes will need to be slightly wider at the one end than at the other so they don't look crooked. Maybe I just studied it too much.

I am still hoping that someone will produce a nice fiberglass hood for the Nitro. Adding a couple of scoops to the hood might bring a smile to the Nitro's face, as well as many owners.

By the way Waldorf, I kind of agree with Bubba. Either white, or for me, silver would be my preference for stripe color on the electric blue.

I think if I were to put stripes on my Electric Blue Nitro, I would probably go with Silver. Don't think I could ever convince the wife to let me do it though
