If you are experiencing problems with the sunroof not closing completely or stopping, try this relearn procedure:

1. Press and hold the sunroof close switch until the sunroof stops at the closed position.
2. Release sunroof switch.
3. Press and hold sunroof close switch once again for at least 10 seconds. After 10 seconds of pressing the close switch the sunroof glass will automatically move into the vent position and stop.
4. Release sunroof switch.
5. Within five seconds of releasing the sunroof switch, press and hold the sunroof close switch again until the sunroof glass fully cycles and returns to the closed position.
6. Release sunroof switch. The sunroof will now operate normally.

NitroTech, thanks but I have to ask why do all the windows have this "learn" feature? My Ram never had these issues and now every time I pull the negative cable for a mod I have to retrain all the windows. The in-channel vent visors give all the windows the kick back to half way initially and I always have to reset them using your guide. Is this a child feature or garage door type feature to keep the lawsuits away?

Geez, now I can't drive down the road any more with someone's head or arm caught in my window after they try to carjack it. :D

I have the same issue as J Patrick. My sunroof just stopped working and it's about a half inch open. No motor noise, nothing. I took it to a mechanic (not a dodge) mechanic, and they just shrugged at me.
first question is "Is there a way to manually close the sunroof so that it does not get rained in?"
and 2, "Does anyone know how to fix this?"

Welcome to the forum Jason.

When you have a chance, head over to the Newbie Section and say "Hi".
Tell us a little about yourself and your ride.
That way we can welcome you all proper like.

First thing to try is a Neg(-) battery disconnect for 10 minutes.
This will reset the computers.
Did you check the fuses?
I do not know of a simple way to manually close the sunroof.

Thanks. I will try the battery thing. I checked the fuses and all other electrical and everything is fine. might just be the switch, but I have not yet tested the power to the switch wires. I will do that too.

thanks. hopefully the dealership I bought it from 3 months ago can figure it out and fix it.

Pin B, OR/LG, SUNROOF SWITCH SUPPLY. 4 way connector.
Pin 6 RD, FUSED B(+). 10 way connector.
Fuses & Relays
Check CB1 circuit breaker in the TIPM.

Only other suggestion would be to flick the switch. Maybe it is stuck.?

Just thought of another thing. The TIPM (computerized fuse box)is smart and will kill power to a circuit when it senses something is wrong with it.
Disconnect the Neg (-) battery cable, unplug the sunroof switch. Connect the Neg (-) battery cable.
At the sunroof switch wire harness, jump Pin B, OR/LG, to pin C, OR/LB - SUNROOF CLOSE SWITCH SENSE

How does the Mini drive? I almost got one of them instead of the Nitro. But I really needed to be able to tow. Also the estimated MPG for the Mini was almost as bad the the Nitro.

the european petrol mini does about 50mpg, but they are prone to the gearbox exploding, theres plenty for sale all needing gearboxes.
