Our '08 Black Nitro, Lil Beast, has a sun roof. Have not had a vehicle without a sunroof in years. The design, to me, seems somewhat flawed. When I open the sunroof a black bar rises above the roof, the black bar has small oblong holes in it. Of course, the wind blows through the holes for a less than quiet ride. If I push the bar down below the roof, the ride is quiet. I went to our Dodge dealer to make sure this is how it is supposed to work. Yup, it was designed that way is what I was told.
Anyone else bugged by the noise, anything that can be done?

Had the same problem here Sulser. I installed a sunroof air deflector and it works great. Looks pretty good too.

I also added the deflector and it made a big difference. Now If I could only get rid of the howling the roof racks make when I use them I would be happy.

I get a "buffering" effect when I have mine open without cracking the back windows! Kind of like sitting in a bass enclosure...

I bought the Mopar one. It's a really easy install, about 15 mins. Looks good and works great.

That annoying "pop up" deflector does serve a purpose. Try holding it down while going under 40mph.. The helicopter effect is terrible! At least mine was when I took it off, I have since installed the mopar deflector and im happy with it.

I never tried that. But you would think that they would design something that works at all speeds without causing so much noise. It's the first one I've seen with cut outs. They are usually solid.
