What's Up Dudes-
I'm Considering A Spring/suspension Change Upgrade. Should I Swap Out With The R/t Springs And Shocks Right From Dodge, Or Should I Go With Eibach And Get The Slightly Lower Set Up? Is There An R/t Owner Who Can Say He Is Happy With The Stock Springs And Shocks???

I don't have an R/T or intend doing any suspension mods but I want to welcome you to the forum and hope you enjoy your time here....:)

I have a R/T 4x4 and am very happy with the way it rides and handles. Smooth on the road and handles the curves well. I'm not sure that R/T stuff would just bolt in though it is a different set up and I would think different mounting points...maybe someone can answer that. I would also think after market would be a less expensive way to go.

I Am A Bodyshop Manager, And In Our Estimating Data Base, It Appears That The Springs, shocks,a Nd Sway Bar Would Go Right In. I Called Our Local Dodge Parts Wholesale Supplier, And The Guy There Suggested That I Could Just Give Him A Vin From An R/t And He Could Order 'em Up. If I Go This Route, I'll Be Sure To Post The Results, As I'm Sure I'm Not The Only One Who Wants To Try This.....

I'm a huge fan of how the R/T handles, although I honestly don't have much experience with many other high COG vehicles besides my Wrangler, which the Nitro trumps handily. Then again, it'd be upsetting if it didn't.

However, if I was going to mod the suspension, I wouldn't bother with going from stock to R/T.... I'd figure out if I wanted to make the Nitro more offroad-capable and raise it (which would raise the COG and upset handling slightly), or do the opposite - better handling on the street, but an even greater chance of banging something up when taken offroad. From there I'd get an aftermarket kit that met my needs. Just my
