I've contemplated replacing my 3.7 with a Hemi in my 2008 Nitro. Getting ahold of a salvaged Hemi, wiring harness, ECM and mounts out of a 2008 Charger isn't an issue. My concerns are the mods from the flywheel back to the rear diff and with the front suspension carriage. Especially the transmission and transfer case, I am also aware that the driveshaft will need shortened. Any direction on what should be focused on first?

Hello and welcome DEAnOH,
to the Nitro “Z” family!
This has been discussed a lot on the forum. But no one has done it yet.
If you had a NAG1 trany it would be a lot easier to do a swap as it mates up to the Hemi.
The real issue is going to be getting the computers to play nice with each other.
Anything can be done with enough $$$.
I'm looking forward to your future posts & Pics. We love Pics here!
We also like new Mod ideas.

Enjoy the forumZ.

BTW;
If you could please go to your personal-details and fill in the “Vehicle:” info about your rig, then it will be easier for us to answer your questions down the road, without us having to ask a bunch of questions.

Like Scar0 said, The electronics will be your biggest issue with a Hemi swap.

Believe me, you'd be a legend around here if you ever pulled something like this off! Wishing you well in figuring it out. I always appreciate pioneers.

And just to be a parrot, the biggest limiting factor on the Nitro is and always will be the electronics. They are basically intertwined with everything.
