Hey TXNitro,
You live anywhere close to The Alamo? Maybe you could get some pice with your Nitro over there? A new member from DFW said he was heading down there, maybe you could meet him? That would be cool to see 2 Nitro's at The Alamo!

Waldorf - I live about 15 miles from the Alamo and can sure get a picture of the Nitro near there! It's positioned in such a way that you can't get very close, for obvious reasons - but I will sure see what I can do! I'll go this weekend and during the week - because on weekends there'll be lots of tourists in the picture too - and lots of park police keeping me from staying put very long :D

That sounds cool! We should encourage other members who live near sights of interest to take pics with their Nitros! You can be the first!

:D Ok Waldorf - I'm sure most everyone has seen the Alamo, either in person or in pictures, but you've likely NOT ever seen it with a Nitro included :D

:eek:The Park Police were across the street having breakfast tacos and I only got one shot before they realized I was parked (illegally) and OUT of my vehicle standing in the middle of the street with camera in hand :p

TXNitro,

That is an awesome pic! Thanks for risking your freedom to get it! :rep:

What did you think of my post of Niagara Falls? When I was in Niagara Falls a few months ago with my Nitro, I never went down near the water, there no parking close by anyway!

Your Nitro checking out Niagra Falls is cool :D I'm sure glad you two didn't fall over!!! I've flown over the falls, but never visited in person.....must do that in this lifetime!

I guess they have to protect the world's wonders, but it's sure cramping our style, huh?!

I'll try to get another Alamo picture when the sun is setting, so it's at my back......this morning everyone was still sleeping off their Saturday night adventures, so the traffic was really light. Anywhere else around my area you'd like to see a Nitro visiting?! :chuckle:

How about San Antonio Missions National Historical Park or The Riverwalk area or the San Antonio Botanical Garden or a view near Randolph AFB, maybe with some planes?

I'll see what photos I can take around Hamilton, but it's not as beautiful as San Antonio. We are noted for steel mills, if that gives you any idea! :chuckle:

Alright then - I'll get busy.....stay tuned for some of the SA sights, inclusive of the Nitro :D The Riverwalk might be tough - that area is pretty well enclosed, but maybe a few pictures of that area without the Nitro would be okay. I live VERY close to Randolph AFB......but like everything else - the planes aren't usually close enough to see - I can do a "where's Waldo?" picture and you all can see if you can find the planes :chuckle:

Isn't your area getting ready to be gorgeous due to the fall? You sound like you've been to SA???

Yes, the weather is about to change the leaves, I will definitely get some shots like that, especially for you! Nope, never been to SA, but I wanted to go when I was in DFW area for a conference in 03. I've been to the Riverwalk in New orleans (pre-Katrina) and I wanted to the the one there in SA. One day, I will!

Here is my first attempt at "fall colours".

Hard to see as the leaves here were rather brownish, not too much colour yet, but they are changing!
