Holy crap! Stared at 3pm finished at 7:30 ( after clean up) I will do a better write up in the near future, They are from Pepboys ( I used my coupon) 55 watt ea halogens, I chickened out on cutting the bumper and its too cold anyway, Work great, My only problem was a relay I had gotten the kit came with just a lighted switch that I ended up using ( I think its a bad relay) any way here are some pictures of the process ( yes they are straight!)

great job Davey. my RT came with the fog lights built into the front bumper way out by the corners, inside the round holes. I guess yours has louvers or something?

Davey-boy, I wouldn't expect anything else but crooked! the lamps look good though. I guess you opted for this type of installation because you have a lease? good job brother!
I edited your post to align the pics side by each, I hope you don't mind!

Yes but I am toying with a spot on the dash, its too cold today to do much, One thing I forgot to say is with all connections that are exposed to weather use a dielectric grease to keep a good contact and prevent corrosion, at some point I will do a better write-up but it was just too long a day and I am not done yet! ;)

Great job dk, as far as I know you're the first to add lights like that, looks great. I don't have factory fogs either and have the louvers.......this gives me another way to think about going. This also seems like a good alternative to the Mopar kit where you cut out the plastic louvers and fit in an insert and light. It also comes with the column stem switch to control everything. So far I like your solution better. Good Job and pictures.

Thats a good option but they came with plug in connectors and I had to make some splices and I have lots of butt splices and way too many tools( I have some very good crimping tools) ;) ( also its quick) heck in the old days I used wire nuts and tape :chuckle:

Dave it looks really good in the daytime shot. People who do this kind of stuff it amaze's me because I am not mechanically inclined at all. I admire people who can do this stuff. My friend calls me thumbs because I just dont get it.

I once tried to replace a headlight in my 1986 pontiac 6000 and it took me 3 hours. Oh well. That is why I have a good mechanic and a friend who can do all this kind of stuff.

Looks really good. You did a great job.

Hey dk, are your mounting brackets bolted only to the plastic or did you rig up something on the inside to help with support or what? Thanks, what's next?

Just the plastic with washers, I would have like to get them a little further back but you have to make an extension to go up to the metal frame ( I took the easy way out ;)) There is a little shake over a very rough road I might make a brace to the frame at some point but its not bad :)

The fogs don't seem to be too heavy for it, the plastic IS quite rigid. Thanks for the info...
