Got back from driving through a snow storm. The Nitro did great, in fact fantastic! I was going around everyone and cutting through the snow like nothing. I'll have to say this baby does even better than my Dodge Ram 4X4 and an old 4X4 K10 Blazer I use to have that I called "the tank". I think this is the best vehicle I have ever had for getting around in the hazzardess winter conditions.

Just got home

I had a similar experience on my last ski trip. I was highly impressed with how well it did in 2WD. And that was with the stock all seasons.

Imagine how well it would go with a set of Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors or a set of Blizzaks.

Good pix Bob! Yes they do very well! I notice that the hills ( which there are a lot of in my area) is where you really need the 4X4 the traction is very good in 2wd even with the stock Goodyears

Thats certainly the best part of owning a Nitro. When you wake up in MN and its -30 outside, and the Nitro starts right up. Or when its snowing to all hell and you dont even need to switch it to 4 wheel drive. Or when its downpouring and you get to get a lil dirty....I could go on forever, I'm very pleased.

Agreed. My Nitro does waayyy better than my parents' cars (G35 and maxima). The only car that I have ever driven that does better is the escalade, but that thing is massive and has AWD. I feel confident in the snow with the Nitro.

I've had 4x4's since 1976 & I have to agree the Nitro does well in the snow but I think could be better with more aggressive tread. Maybe when its time for new "shoes" I'll check into that if I can find something in that size.
